Fred Thompson-The Best, The Only: Part I

Yes. The best, the only. Not the better (or lesser) of two evils. No evil to see here, unless one buys into the idea that Fred took the role of a white supremacist in a 'Wiseguy' story-line because it appealed to his true nature. That's bullclinton, but the leftists will try to portray any southerner who isn't one of them as a klansman. (Some words which are usually capitalized by the MSM and Robert Byrd...well, I don't do it. Like it or not, get used to it.)

They're already going after Fred, in fact-desperately, relentlessly-throwing whatever mudpies their infantile strategists can dream up and hoping something, anything, sticks. In fact, a friend told me just moments ago that he'd seen some report which indicated that Fred was raised a Mormon. Yeah-huh...in the '40s/'50s, in Tennessee. Right...sure. As Rush would say of a New York Crimes headline: "Gee, imagine if that were true!" Pathetic, desperate leftists-they'd be comical if they weren't so dangerous and didn't have significant numbers in the halls of Congress (as well as the federal judiciary, but that's another post). Here's a sampling of their desperation, mingled with the impotent bleatings of a few Beltway journalist pukes who aren't leftists but aren't real conservatives either. George Will, Bob Novak, Bill Kristol, etc. Three men, three votes, half a brain among them-and Will has half of that half.

In the photo above, by the way, the big guy is Charlie Daniels. The 6' 6" Fred is on the right...

More in Part II...imagine that!

Imagine? I have been eating, breathing and living Fred Thompson since his name was first whispered. Seems like so long ago (sigh). I truly cannot wait until he throws himself in, "officially". These nutballs are going to be like white on rice when he does. They have good reason to be afraid. Can't wait to see what other lies they can come up with. Even more excited about Mr. Thompson's replies to them ,lol!!

I think we heard all we need to about that last night. When asked, he laughs at them! And the rest of the time he ignores them.

I really like Fred, but his attitude on abortion concerns me a little. He was pro-choice up to 2000, he told National Review he was pro-life. He also seemed to say that he supported abortions at the state level to Hannity.

To address your last point first, while I didn't hear the Hannity interview, I've read of and heard him stressing his philosopy of federalism. That essentially means states' rights. In the unlikely event that Roe vs. Wade should be overturned, abortion would not suddenly become illegal nationwide; rather, the decision as to legality would devolve upon the respective states-which is as it should be.

At the other end of the above link you'll find the text of a letter from NARAL's "president". Here's the relevant part:

"Don't be fooled - Fred Thompson is no better. During his seven years in the U.S. Senate, he voted anti-choice 44 times out of 46 choice-related issues. He has called Roe v. Wade "bad law" and received a 100 percent voting record from the National Right to Life Committee."

Rather sounds like they're scared of Fred, wouldn't you say? But, you might say, NARAL wouldn't be expected to support any non-leftist candidate, particularly because of judicial appointments. True enough-the letter doesn't mention Giuliani at all, much less endorse him. But re-read the excerpt above.

As I mentioned in the post, Fred's under attack on many fronts-and not just the DNC and their MSM toadies, either. Romney and Giuliani (and/or their supporters) seem to have their fingerprints on some of these hit-pieces. I don't know where you've been getting your information, but I encourage you to consider the sources-and the motives-and do a bit of research on your own. Here's a place to do some reading:

I haven't explored this site all that much, but what I've seen so far doesn't indicate that the people behind it have an agenda.

Thanks for weighing in, Daniel!

Yes, Fred was raised a Mormon, before finding Islam and changing his middle name to Hussein....Oh wait a minute, Barak off! That was someone else! States Rights is the answer! Go Fred Go!

Desperation doesn't get close to describing stuff like this. Mountain out of a molehill is an understatement, but it's all the anti-Fred forces have.
